Re: Dice-Created Characters!
@Gloomy
two things:
1. You do not have to have the yellow bit under the bill if you do not want to. That was only for the 64 Paper Mario, the Bumpty Detective from Thousand Year Door didn't have it. So if you wish to remove that, there you go.
2. A Stoner-esque Character who is extremely lazy and loves music, sounds like the Cheep Cheep I still haven't colored in yet. Unlike yours though mine doesn't really have pride or stubbornness, so that's okay! (I do not think they'd be friends though due to how much of a complete slacker mine is and how logical mine is in the first place. My guy would probably berate yours for being stubborn.
TLDR: I approve of your stoner, but your stoner wouldn't like my stoner.

Re: Dice-Created Characters!
He's not really a stoner, though. (Cause, I am totally 100% against drug use in just about all its forms. I don't drink, I don't smoke, and so on. About the only drug I put into my system is caffeine [which, admittedly, probably is the worst one for you, for different reasons].) He's basically Rastafarian though, and that means that the use of 'herb' is spiritual, religious and necessary. He doesn't do it to excess or for purely recreation reasons. He doesn't care what other people do, because everyone is free to travel their own Way, but it's more complicated than him being a "stoner".
Also, today is 4/20. I hate 4/20. That I made that character on, essentially, 4/20 is a terrible coincidence. I just thought a Rasta Bumpity would be hilarious because of the dreads. The humor combination also built inspired that line of thought. It was not intentional.

I may be asking something obvious here, but... What is the significance of 4/20?

It's basically pot-head day. I don't know the lore behind it but, it is a day for marijuana smokers to toke up (at one time specifically especially, 4:20PM). It is St Patrick's Day for Stoners. Basically.

Mine isn't a stoner either, but his personality is the equivalent of someone who gets stoned on music. I was just simply using the word to describe him and your guy. Sorry about that, I didn't realize it was more complicated than that.
I also didn't know the relevance of 4/20, so apologies on my end regarding that as well.

Re: Dice-Created Characters!
Sorry to butt in, but 4/20 isn't just pot-head day...
Talk about potentially-upsetting things in the spoiler. -.-;
Okay, sorry, just kinda needed to get that off my chest.

- Spoiler:
- I'm pretty sure it's also Hitler's birthday if I remember correctly, among other things. Found that out yesterday because one of my teachers, who is normally extremely against us so much as glancing at our cellphones during class, asked for at least one of us to keep an eye on the CNN news feed thanks to what happened in Boston earlier this week; he then explained about 4/20, saying that he was so concerned about the whole thing because of the significance of the date. ...Which makes sense since, hey, 9/11. 4/20 might also be the anniversary of the Columbine shooting, and that stuff combined with the fact that the bombs in Boston were home-made (I will never view pressure cookers in the same way again) could hint towards the whole thing being a neo-Nazi thing...
Okay, sorry, just kinda needed to get that off my chest.

Re: Dice-Created Characters!
The problem with that is that the men involved were from Chechen (essentially Russian), Muslim, and were more than likely anti-government in general. I mean it is, technically, possible to be all those things but not incredibly likely. Especially since, outside skinhead groups and the like, Hitler is pretty reviled. :/ And yes, every day is more than its holiday or random occurance.

Re: Dice-Created Characters!
Double Shine and Double Aegis? Eesh. That.. That'll be a character. Though... hmm.
trueBug, I have a question for you or gS. Can you have a Soul Capsule of a humor that that character already possesses within another humor? The same humor? For example, take that Lakitu. Say one of its Shine humors is a Shine Soul Capsule, and the rest of the recipe plays out like normal (two parts Aegis to one part Shine). Where can that work, and where would the capsule go?
It's technically possible, and you could put it anywhere, but it would kind of defeat the purpose of putting that humor in a capsule in the first place.

I think it would depend on the humor. Like I would think a Note capsule would work since that affects others, rather than the character in which it's imbedded. As far as standard and keyhole capsules go, I can't think what that would do for the character.

Re: Dice-Created Characters!
A Note capsule is still a soul capsule so the person with it will still have the traits of what is inside the humor, only purer. Normal humors outside of capsules interact with each other in weird ways so even if you have the same humors, just change it's placement and it's a whole new personality.
So I think it's bad to insert a humor in a soul capsule and use it again. It's like redundant and would make an unstable character, potentially bringing out the negatives more.

Re: Dice-Created Characters!
The capsule doesn't just take the humor and use it for the effect, it also denotes a presence of the humor. For example, while someone with a Heart of Ardent will notice the presence of Ardent in others, it still counts as having the positive traits of Ardent. If the humor is there, its effects are felt on the personality, even if encapsulated.

Re: Dice-Created Characters!
Uhhhh.... Personality-wise this guy can be the Goomba version of SpanishMode!Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story 3, I guess...? ^_^;
...Also, if there can be such thing as a Sombrero Guy (Shy Guy subspecies), then there is no reason I can't make a Sombrero Goomba.
So yeah, he's a Sombrero Goomba. 'Nuff said.
