Zodiac Theories?

I'm not entirely sure if this would be the right place, but it's part of a character.


What sort of theories do you have of these?

Given that we already have humors and capsules for the personality effect, I doubt they have anything to do with the personality of a character.

Booracle's exposition on them makes me think they have something to do with the journey or 'destiny' that a character has. The Wall, for example, could mean a character is destined to become a protector, a defender. The Tide could mean they are destined to become a mover, a behind-the-scenes changer.

Hm. That would fit with the almost Tarot-like theme, and the fact that the first mentions of the signs came from an oracle/seer character.

But if that's the case, what would a Leaf sign have? Or a Mystery?

Maybe a Leaf sign would signify the character having a relationship with nature; perhaps they will start a reservation or become a gardener.

We DID just purchase some Zodiac themes. Maybe if we flick through those, they'd answer some of our questions. Like, maybe each one has a description of the respective sign and its implications. Maybe I'll whip one up myself to illustrate...

I got bored, so I made another fan-interpreted Zodiac theme. Observe:


For this one I had to redraw the large sign from scratch, and speculate quite a bit for the content of the description.

The Door I would think would be something like acting as a gateway. Helping others explore new worlds and do new things. One who helps those fulfill their destiny. Not necessarily one who leads, just one who opens the path.

The Egg probably means constant new beginning, that or a proud parent, or probably a pat of innocence.

I think the Egg (which is Bond Zodiac) is about connections and nurturing. Someone who makes, repairs, or influences bonds. A match-maker, a busy-body, a friend, a therapist. Someone who influences how others interact. Basically, a Relation-shift expert.

Aaaah someone please please PLEASE do Leaf, I can't think of anything cryptic and flowery and deep like these amazing ideas, at least not in my current state... Running on less than six hours sleep between two days does not contribute to mental acuity very much at all.

Wow. Just WOW. This is amazing, Todd! Thank you so much~... It's so fitting and I honestly really love the cadence/rhythm of it~... I've noticed a lot of non-poets (read: classmates in high school English courses) tend to forget that cadence is just as important a tool for crafting poems as rhyme and symbolism, but you nailed that nice, borderline-sing-song-y rhythm perfectly!
