Sasha's Poem

Way back when, Sasha gave a poem before her coronation ceremony. Lots more of it makes sense with things we have learned.

-Notable things that may or may not have been evaluated before now: Life = Booboo in at least some of its mentions in the poem. Most obviously near the end, where Clyde and Shyla's zodiac signs seem to also be given (life and mystery).
-I'm not sure about the references to heart - is that Jitterbug, or another word for "souls", or...
-The newest revelation for us is the meaning of hearts being "tainted with darkness". Booboo's drop of dire!

Any other thoughts?

We don't know if it was really outer space or just one of the limitations of the Fortune Module, but yes.

If B.B. does become tainted with darkness, he may go insane/crazy. It'd be a very good way to introduce the "Hearts of Star", which may be this games generic objects of star shapped power.

Yes we need collectible stars, because in all Paper Mario games, it is ALWAYS about stars.

I don't know about most people but I ignore SPM and sort of slide it under the rug and hope no one notices it.

I liked SPM.

As long as I thought of it as a platformer.

Exactly, it was a good game...You just have to think about it while not trying to compare it to PM64 & PMTTYD.

Exactly. Or rather so long as you don't think of it as a turn-based RPG. I thoroughly enjoyed SPM. The characters and writing were just as clever as in other Paper Mario games in some places even more so. It had an interesting plot and a good cast of villains. And each world was unique and entertaining.

Further, I think that Mr. L is just about the best thing to ever happen to the Mario series.

The only thing that really separates it from the Paper Mario universe is the lack of a three dimensional map, turn based battle mechanics (with the exception of one hilarious fight), and that it took place in several parallel universes, none of which contained the mushroom kingdom.

Back on topic though, Appear is an extremely interesting song, and this poem is just as interesting. Gives a lot of food for thought.

I think the "heart" is talking about Sasha. You can see she has a heart on her dress. If the "heart" (Sasha) becomes tainted (evil or selfish after her wish) then the "Light" (BB) must rise to stop her. Through the gathering of the MacGuffins.

Personally I think it is a bit more generic than that where the "heart" referees to anyone who uses the wish selfishly, not just Sasha.

Also it's not MacGuffins. It's McGuffins, a last name. The poem details the gathering of HEROES. Like the Paper Mario games where you collect people, not items.

B.B might need to make an army. Who or why or how escapes me.

I guess you're right, it could be talking about people. I just assumed right off that it was talking about objects, using messengers as a metaphor.

You know that one being multiple disorder us I thought, what if we were that, and made of CRYSTAL DIAMOND. Technically we are carbon based, it would be cool and horrifying at the same time.

This was shown in TrueBug's shop, and also by the fact that we can individually have Credits as well as just our group 'account'. We're like a group of elementary schoolers on a field trip: we're just stuck staying together the whole time!

And yeah, we are definitely like elementary field trippers with average adult bodies that somehow fits pocket dimensions accessed trough E.G.Os.....


wait...what if we are actually that, aliens. But we are still humans, what if Humans are not native int he marioverse and thus is why they are rare, explains why there seems to be a shortage of them in actual canon.

But that doesn't explain why there are other species at the E.G.O shops, I mean....
