This thread may be unneeded or stupid, but I am ignorant of the reasons why.

Alright so from what I heard at one point there was a call for a Dance Party animation, but it was never completed.

I say it is time.

So with my video editing skills and such I am more than willing to get this thing going. Everyone is welcome to participate whatever their art level is. Basically going to be making a music video using little animated portions of ECN characters and fan characters dancing.

What I need:

You guys to draw up some pictures of a character dancing (Need a minimum of 3 pics to animate your thing properly.) Gifs that are already animated will no be acceptable (harder to get the timing down). I will be taking these pics and animating them myself in the video.

The Size of the pictures should be: 650 × 450 px

I also will have to retract the gif statement. No gifs, just discovered their harder to time properly. (as you can probably see in the video from the pics flashing way faster than the musics beat.)

Also if anyone has better song suggestions toss them out there.

Sounds rather interesting, I think it needs a better dance song that fits ECN a bit more. (doesn't have to have exactly mario songs in it)

I agree, so shout out some songs if you know any. I am not exactly hip with the rave music scene.

What tools? You only need the ability to draw three pictures. I don't want anyone to animate anything. If you don't have a drawing program, I recommend Paint.net


Also for the song choice what we need is something with a strong constant beat (for the majority of the song). The reason that song works for the Homestuck rave is because of the underlying beat which signals for the lights to go out, then come back on and change the picture giving the impression the characters are dancing.(in my opinion)

Appear while awesome has no such beat.

Doopliss Remix's beat, while Rave like, changes to much throughout the song.

Any art level allowed, This is a community thing, not an art contest. So that would be perfectly acceptable.

After watching the HS video with the tunes we are talking about it...I think the Cobra Starship had a really good flow, but you take your time and figure it out.

Hey it ain't up to me. I'm putting up my options cause I'll be editing it together but realistically this is a group effort and if everyone wants one song, who am I to object?

Though so far I have to agree Cobra Starship I think has the most potential so far as it has that beat I think is needed. Starworshiper while catchy is just a little to slow and passive I think for something like this. (but once again if everyone wants it I will try and work with it.)
